Diane L. Buffington, 56, passed quietly from this life on Friday, April 23, 2021, in UPMC  Community Osteopathic Hospital surrounded by her family.  Born in Harrisburg, the daughter of Carl and Phyllis (Hoffman) Bupp, she lived in Enola for 6 years before moving to Swatara Twsp. in 2012.  Diane was a homemaker, Mom, Grandma and Dog Mom to many as well as a good friend to all. 

            She was very active in all groups and activities in her church, the 1st Assembly of God Church, Linglestown.  Diane was a great cook and baker and greatly enjoyed trips to the pool and ice cream runs, walking her beloved dogs and any activities with the grandchildren.

            Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Fox, step father, William Fox, a brother, David Bupp and a grandson, Malakai.  Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Dennis R. Buffington; children, Amanda L. Hutto, and her husband Brandon, of Swansboro, NC, Laura Storm, Arlene Storm and Lawrence Storm all of Harrisburg.  Sisters; Debbie McConnell of Palmyra, Evelyn Bupp of Steelton; brothers, Carl Bupp Jr. of Middletown and Robert Bupp of Penbrook.  Also surviving are grandchildren, Tiler, Lexi, Izayah, Makhia, Alexzander and Zamara, and her special dogs, Mia and Milo.

            A Funeral Service will be celebrated in Hall & Stone Funeral Home, 112 N. Harrisburg Street, Steelton, on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 12 noon with her Pastor, the Rev. Terry Lamer officiating.  Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  Visitation is Wednesday 11 am to 12 noon.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the funeral home would be greatly appreciated.
