Obituary for Gwendolyn Sue Stepp

Gwendolyn Sue Stepp, 71, passed quietly from this life on Friday, August 20, 2021 in UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.  Born in New Bloomfield, the daughter of Boyd and Evelyn H. (Brickner) Davis, she lived in Dauphin before moving to Oberlin 41 years ago.  Sue was a homemaker that loved art and drawing, loved decorating, taking care of her family and watching the “Andy Griffin Show”.

            Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Warren A. Stepp Jr.,; children, Lori Davis of Carlisle and Cory A. Bubb of Chambersburg; step-children, Bradley A. Stepp and Michael W. Stepp both of Oberlin and Mayra I. Barry of Mechanicsburg. Brothers, Dennis E. “Butch” Maue, Elmer Davis and Frank Davis; sisters, Beulah Davis and Raybell Grenger. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren.  Sue was preceded in death by sisters, Dolly M. Himes and Evelyn Neil and brother Boyd Davis Jr.

            A Funeral Service will be celebrated in Hall & Stone Funeral Home, 112 N. Harrisburg Street, Steelton, on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11AM with the Rev. Harold Fox officiating.

Interment to follow in Churchville Cemetery.  Visitation is Saturday 10 to 11AM. The Stepp Family wishes to thank the following Health Care Professionals for their care and assistance with Sue during this time. They are as follows, Drs. Michael VanScoy and George Zahorian and nurses Mindy, Ann, Lisa of Spirit Trust and Bernda Black Helfax.
